My real name is Hai Duong Nguyen, a freshman Marketing major at the University of Nevada, Reno.
At 18 years old, I made the life-changing decision to move from Vietnam to the States to pursue my dreams. Being an international student at the University of Nevada, Reno has defined my resilience, as I navigate a new culture while staying deeply connected to my roots.
Why Marketing?
Choosing to study Marketing was a strategic decision driven by my fascination with how brands communicate across borders. My motivation stems from my grandmother, my very first teacher in Viet Nam, who instilled in me a deep respect for literacy and the power of a well-crafted message. Her influence taught me that effective communication and promotion is the foundation of any successful brand.
Passions & Interests
Outside of my core studies at UNR, I am a person who finds joy in creative expression and cultural exploration:
Photography: I have a passion for capturing the world through my lens. This hobby helps me develop a ‘marketing eye’ for visual aesthetics and composition. Everyone can see my photos in Gallery.
Music: Whether I am playing piano or singing, music is my way of communicating emotions and staying inspired.
Korean Cinema: I am an avid fan of K-dramas. Watching them allows me to observe different storytelling techniques and global lifestyle trends.
